THE GOLDEN Bachelor’s Ellen Goltzer divorced her ex-husband, Alan, and moved to Florida three years before competing on the dating show, The U.S. Sun has exclusively learned.
Bachelor fans have watched as Ellen, 71, won over Gerry Turner's heart during a group date in which the contestants competed against each other in a pickleball game.
The winners, Team Picklelicious Paddles, with Ellen and Kathy Swarts, earned the prize of appearing on magazine In Pickleball with Gerry.
It was after that date that Ellen professed her love for Gerry, 72.
The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal that the retired teacher from Delray Beach, Florida, recently divorced her husband, Alan Goltzer.
According to a summary of their divorce as seen in Nassau County, New York, Ellen filed for divorce in early 2018.

The final judgment was then entered into the system in August 2018, making her a single lady.
Although the actual documents are not available to the public, it appears the divorce was smooth sailing and amicable.
It is reported that the couple had been married for 25 years.
They have two sons together: Jason, 44, and Lee, 41.

SUNSHINE STATE
After her divorce, Ellen left New York and moved to Florida to retire.
She put her Island Park condo for sale and bought a two-bedroom, two-bath gorgeous villa in Delray Beach for $490,000.
According to records obtained by The U.S. Sun, she purchased the townhouse in April 2020, three years before going on The Golden Bachelor. It's now estimated to be worth $622K.
The 1,635-square-foot property is located in a gated community where there are lots of activities for everyone.
Per the listing: "Residents enjoy resort-style amenities and a vibrant social lifestyle including movie nights, tennis, yoga, Zumba, group fitness, cards, billiards, bocce ball & pickleball."
Ellen mentioned on the show that she plays pickleball four times a week and is part of a league, perhaps which is why she was able to outscore the other teams during the group date.
ANOTHER HONOR
Prior to retiring, Ellen worked as a health teacher at Great Neck Middle School in New York.
According to public records, her annual salary was estimated to be $135,867.
In 2002, she was recognized for her commitment to promote positive lifestyles.
She, along with another teacher, received the Faculty Advisers of the Year award by the Nassau County Students Against Destructive Decisions.
In her ABC bio, she notes that she "hopes to remain healthy and active for her entire life" as she loves spending her free time playing golf and bocce ball with her girlfriends.
FALLING FOR GERRY
During last week's episode, The Golden Bachelor cast member revealed to the spinoff's lead that she was falling for him.
Before the rose ceremony took place, Ellen had a heart-to-heart with Gerry and admitted: "I can't even remember the last time I felt this way — giggling, laughing, kissing.
"I feel the need and the want to take a leap of faith and tell you… I'm falling in love with you, Gerry, and it's really hard."
He then leaned in to make out with her passionately.
The Iowa native responded: "I feel it. I feel your emotion, and I'm in the same place."
Gerry then revealed to cameras during his confessional that she "makes me think back to the last time that someone looked at me like that and said those things to me.
"When I lost Toni, and I thought the world ended, I never thought I would see it again. And yet I am."
Gerry's high school sweetheart tragically passed away in July 2017.
They were married for 43 years until she unexpectedly got sick.
